Playfront Park on the Bay
The Junior League of Duluth is rebuilding Playfront Park on
the Bay! This playground was built in 1989 as a community project led
by the Junior League of Duluth. The park needs to be replaced and the
Junior League has made the commitment to the city to raise funds to
make this happen. The new playground will be an Evos design
structure that enhances children's balance, coordination and
strength. The plan is to build the playground by the summer of 2009.
The
cost of the new playground will be approximately $163,000. The Junior
League will raise these funds through local, state and national grants
as well as various fundraising activities throughout the year.
There are multiple ways for community members to contribute to this project, at various sponsorship levels or to sponsor by buying a personalized brick to be used in the pathways at the park. See our e-store for details of this opportunity.
